Making a Wet-Mount
1. Place specimen on glass slide making sure the light can shine through.
2. Using an eye dropper cover the specimen in water.
3. Place cover slip on top, slowly pushing out any air bubbles.
4. Wet-mount is complete, place it on the stage with the cover slip facing up.

Bringing a Specimen into Focus
1. Look through the eye-piece while the stage is as far down as it can be and your magnification is on X4.
2. While looking through the eye piece slowly turn the coarse adjustment knob and bring the stage closer until specimen is clear.
3. If needed use fine adjustment knob or change magnification to get the specimen clear.

Drawing a Specimen
When drawing a specimen there are a few things you have to include. Draw a circle and write next to it the Title/Name of your specimen, the date and the magnification you used when looking at the specimen. Next you draw in all the important parts that you saw while looking at your specimen, never draw everything you see.
